2026 will be an exciting year for CPRE Berkshire as we celebrate 100 years of championing the countryside. We’re looking for volunteers to help us prepare and make the year a success. Whether you’re seeking professional experience, social connections, or a meaningful way to contribute, we offer projects to suit your interests and available time.

Volunteer with CPRE Berkshire
We would love to hear from you if you can offer some time to volunteer. There are lots of ways to get involved. For example, by joining one of our district groups, helping to monitor planning proposals in your area, or helping us on specific campaigns, such as Dark Skies, Hedgerow Heroes, Rooftop Renewables, or Local Transport.
Volunteering Opportunities – Recruiting Now
As we grow and modernise our efforts, developing CPRE Berkshire’s digital presence is more important than ever. We are currently seeking volunteers with expertise in key areas to support our mission and enhance our reach:
- Social Media Management: Create, post, and manage engaging content on our social media platforms to connect with new and existing supporters.
- Website Management: Help produce content for our website, ensuring it remains an engaging and up-to-date resource for our visitors.
- Email Campaign Coordination: help execute email campaigns to communicate with our members, partners, and stakeholders effectively.
These roles are an exciting opportunity to bring your skills to a forward-looking charity at a pivotal time in its history. Whether you can commit a few hours a month or more, your contributions will make a real difference. CPRE Berkshire is entering an exciting new chapter as we prepare to celebrate our centenary year in 2025. For a century we have worked to protect, enhance and promote the countryside of Berkshire to ensure it remains a vibrant, thriving space for communities and nature alike. As we approach this significant milestone, we are looking for committed individuals to join us in driving our mission forward.
We are currently recruiting volunteers for key roles within our organisation: trustees to help guide our strategy and governance, and district campaign officers to support local advocacy. These positions offer an opportunity to be part of an impactful charity dedicated to safeguarding rural landscapes and shaping policies that influence sustainable development.
Why Now?
Next year marks 100 years of CPRE Berkshire’s work and we are setting ambitious plans in motion to ensure our centenary year is one of progress and influence. We need fresh perspectives, energy and enthusiasm to help strengthen our governance, improve our reach and make meaningful change in how our countryside is protected for future generations.

Current roles available:
Trustee (Governance & Administration): Strengthen CPRE Berkshire’s governance and operational processes during a period of growth.
Trustee (Planning & Impact): Guide our planning strategy and ensure we maximise our charity’s impact.
District Campaign Officer: Represent CPRE Berkshire at a local community level by monitoring planning applications and development activity.
